University of Science and Technology Liaoning (USTL) is located in Anshan, Liaoning Province. The campus, nearly landscaped and easily accessible, flanks the luscious and popular Qianshan mountain resort on the east, nestles against the foot of a range of beautiful hills on the south, links with a high tech industrial park to the north, and sprawls a few miles from the well-known industrial base to the west.

Founded in 1948 and through development of almost 60 years, the university has grown into a national engineering-highlighted university with multiple disciplines that include science, management, economics, liberal arts and law in China.

Currently, the University is composed of fifteen schools and offers bachelor degrees in thirty-five fields of study, master's and doctoral degrees in thirty-two fields. At present,USTL has an enrollment of approximate 16,000 students, including 1,000 postgraduates in various programs, and maintains a staff of over 1,800. With the goal of a quality-oriented education in all-round way, USTL implemented credit system in academic education. After being cultivated by the spirit of scrupulous studies and advocated practice, the graduates of the university are affirmed and accepted by all the employers. Since it was founded, more than 60,000 students have graduated from the university.

In recent yeas, USTL participates extensively in academic exchanges and cooperation with the outside world and has established substantial academic relations with many universities and research institutions in the world, including Korea, Russia, Japan, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Ukraine and the United States. Meanwhile, the university has set up programs and trained the students coming from Korea, Japan, Russia, Azerbaijan and the United States so that the foreign students can pursue their degrees or learn Chinese.

Non-degree Program：Students who are 16 years of age and in good health are qualified.

Students who are below 40 years of age in good health and with a high school or similar educational background are qualified.

Postgraduate Program：Students who are below 40 years of age in good health and with normal educational background are qualified.

Students should pay the fees themselves such as traveling expenses, accommodations, food, medical service, insurance, practice, and sightseeing.�

Applicants should contact the International Student Office of USTL to take the Application Form for Admission, and then send it back to USTL with following data or information:

If you are qualified, you will receive the MATRICULATION CERTIFICATE and JW202 Form mailed from USTL. You will be able to obtain the VISA from Chinese Embassy or Consulate by showing them the two documents above; however, you must take the VISA of X-type if you plan to study more than one semester in China.

The matriculates should enroll before the deadline scheduled by USTL with passport, filled JW202 Form, Personal Health Examination Record, the MATRICULATION CERTIFICATE, and eight recent color photos. Please let USTL know the arrival time if a picking up service is needed.

Advanced Level：Reading, Listening, Writing, Newspapers and Periodicals, Audio-Visual Chinese, China Today

Room includes TV set, air-conditioner, telephone, bathroom, chest, writing desk, lamp and Internet access

Public Facilities include shared kitchen, washing machine, gymnasium, public computers, reading room, and audio-visual room.

The charge of single-bed room is RMB 30Yuan per night, and the double-bed room is RMB 15Yuan per night per student.
